Born and raised in Canada, Nancy attended the University of Toronto where she studied Art History and English. After graduating she became the only copywriter in Young & Rubicam's Calgary office. Nancy cut her teeth in television that year by writing and producing over 25 commercials for the Alberta Ford and Mercury Dealers.
With some experience under her belt, Nancy returned to Toronto and held positions at Cossette Communication-Marketing and McCann Canada, working her way up from junior copywriter to senior group head. Along the way, she took home awards from the Advertising & Design Club of Canada, Marketing Magazine, the London International Awards as well as earning a coveted spot in the Communication Arts Award Annual.
After taking a break to attend graduate school, Nancy was recruited by McCann Erickson, New York. Here she worked as an Associate Creative Director on both GlaxoSmithKline and Kohl’s. When Random House published her first novel, Nancy became a freelance writer. She now lives in Brooklyn with her family and balances her love of fiction, branding and advertising each day.
